Rob Phillips 2nd Year GKCC Golf Committee Chairman

Rob Phillips, Golf Committee Chairman, pictured here with Committee Member Lisa Nugent of People’s United Bank giving his speech at the 41st Annual GKCC Golf Tournament Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Keene Country Club. This is Rob’s 2nd consecutive year serving as the Golf Committee Chair. He was responsible for leading the planning and the execution of the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament. The tournament has become one of the most popular in the region and requires a committee of many dedicated individuals.  They work together to ensure that all aspects of the tournament are provided for to ensure a successful event.

A Winning Team

Committee members begin planning for the golf tournament months before the event takes place. The committee members work closely with the Chamber’s office staff to manage all aspects of the tournament. They are responsible for working with sponsors, seeking donations, and assembling other supplies prior to the tournament. Committee members also help the day of the event by working with volunteers and making sure guests have a fun and memorable experience.  Due to the tournament success this was the first year the committee was able to make a donation of $500 each to Cedarcrest  and the Hundred Nights Shelter.
